Vaccines Do Not Boost Rheumatoid Arthritis Risk: Study

Results from a new study published in the Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases suggest that routine adult vaccinations, including those for the flu, do not appear to increase a person's risk of developing rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The Swedish research teams says their study challenges the commonly held belief that vaccinations trigger an immune response in the body that can lead to chronic inflammatory conditions such as RA.
