Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis

Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis remains a mystery to the medical community. Research indicates that it is an autoimmune disease. In autoimmune diseases, white blood cells lose the ability to tell the difference between the body's own healthy cells and harmful invaders like bacteria and viruses. As many as 300,000 children in United States are living with some form of arthritis, and 50,000 of them suffer from Rheumatoid Arthritis.
