Friday, April 25, 2008 at 08:33 AMHi Chris,
I came to this website to educate myself more about schizophrenia in order to be better equipped to support a friend and her son. Your article is inspirational, informative, and positive. It was clearly written with passion and purpose. It is so helpful to have accurate resources when you are as ignorant in this area as I am. Thank you for making it so easy to understand and well as easily accessible.

Thanks Chris,
I like reading your posts. I went through the first couple of years with almost no support. First I went through denial and thought I didn't need the drugs and would take myself off of them. Did that a bunch of times. Then I finally realized I had a mental illness and needed the drugs. Finding the right ones was horrible to go thru. The side affects were worse than the illness. Been to the hospital many times. It's been a long process of acceptance and realizing I can function very well most of the time so I am greatful for that. I'm glad this site is here. It's really good to talk to others with the same illness and still have my privacy.
thanks,
ann
