Hi Christina,
I'm trying to learn to go with the flow of the recovery process. It's a fact of life that there will always be down times, times of conflict, but I've cultivated enough of a positive attitude that I don't get bogged down. Right now I've just come through some tension with the voices. They were calling me evil. Several years ago I would have been miserable, but now I got active and creative. Following the Tibetan Buddhist attitude of seeing obstacles as spiritual opportunities, I'm learning to view myself and my voices with compassion. I think it's very important for those of us who live with the voices to not view them as enemies, but as a challenge to deepen spiritual practice.
Kate,
Right on!
I, too, have made friends with the schizophrenia
Learning to be kind to yourself and allowing yourself to feel good is so important.
Peace,
Chri

Learning to accept what you can't change, and allowing yourself to feel good even though life is hard, is the way to heal.
Peace,
Chris
