On September 25, 1987 I had a breakdown. The next morning my mother drove me to the ER. I was admitted to the inpatient unit a day later and given Stelazine, the drug that worked—if imperfectly—until April 2007 when Dr. Altman instituted the cross-titer to the Geodon.

Just that small glimpse into the hardship you went through highlights your accomplishments. I have never lived in a halfway house or gone to a day program, but I wish that I had. One of the stumbling blocks of schizophrenia is isolation, but living and getting counseling and training with others is a good way to fight this illness. In the long run it is cost effective and certainly therapeutic.

You have been through so much and overcome so much. I pay homage to you Christina. What a remarkable, resilient, determined and talented individual you are. And now you are touching so many lives and bringing hope to so many. Yeah, I'd say you hit that curve well out of the ballpark. Your words have deeply moved me today. Thanks for sharing from your heart.
Marty
