    Chris,

I have seen loved ones in psychotic states and have often wondered what to do.  With training in acting and mime I was somehow fascinated.  Yet...when another is in a paranoid state it is so frightening to see.  Also, I experienced the loved one being very angry at me.  I did not want to call the police or an ambulance.  Today, I realize it is so important to try to stay very calm and get help for the loved one.  We are not health professionals...what we can always do, however...is show love.

    Thanks for sharing all this.

    Nancy
