Browsing O: the Oprah magazine at work, I read with interest an article by Julie Morgenstern, who previewed her new book, When Organizing Isn't Enough: Shed Your Stuff, Change Your Life. Now, I'm a neat freak, yet was intrigued by this concept and bought the book right away. I recommend you read it...

Thank-you Chris, and long life to you also.
I do enjoy reading your blogs, I find them inspiring and helpful. I've been on my own for 2 tears now after a lengthily stay in boarding homes and hospital here on the West Coast. I like it , but I feel lonely at times. My friends are either recovered and back in the main stream or unwell and difficult to relate to. My doctor is a bit of a dud but here in Canada you really don't get to choose. My family loves me, but because of schizophrenia, it is a qualified kind of love.
I think that maybe some day I'll write about the years I spent in a large institution in this province.
I don't think the scars of mental illness will ever heal completely in my life. I wish there were a magic pill, but there isn't. So recovery isn't something I think about a lot, I have a part-time job sweeping up at the post - office and that's good enough for now. The Mental Health system here is well - funded so I'm financially well-off and I see my worker once/mo. Life is good. God is good to me. I am grateful for the things I already have and that , for me, is enough.
Take care
Don

HI Don,
You have an inspiring story, too, and I'm glad things are working out well for you.
If being the president of the United States were any indication of how successful a person is, that would be a mistake. You know what I mean: Robin Cunningham talks about how society grades functionality, and that is sad.
You are doing well for yourself and that is good. Did you say you live on your own? That's great. I'm also pleased your mental health system works for you.
Thank you for your praise about my blogs. I try my best to give others a little joy in their day.
So I hope you have a good day and a good night.
Best regards,
Chri
