A Short Poem: To Love and Let Be

By anonymous Wednesday, September 30, 2009

"Islands tangle and bind
Waging war in your mind
And keep you from flying away

Our dreams turned to ash
You've circled and crashed
Love burned me and left me as prey

So lost I intruded
With rescue delluded
Fighting waves of who you are

A drowned bird from your fist
Bearing tears in the mist
Will watch over you from afar"

Take care my love,
I hope one day you find yourself again.

Hi anonymous,

This poem says it all and I'm sure many of us can relate to the desire of finding ourselves again.  I found that taking the medication every day as prescribed wasn't the sole solution, it was the gateway to finding and expressing my true self.  Once the medication routine was in place, I could begin my real recovery.

I hope you feel this helps.

Regards,

Christina

What a beautiful poem.

The war rages on with my voices. In the process of this battle I have found myself and my calling.

Thank you for sharing with us.
