Lots of good news, but also some bad news.

By FOTL Friday, January 08, 2010

Hey guys,

Things are looking ok. I shot an event today and the people who hired me were very happy with my results. They said that they want to use me in the future- something that makes me very happy. The more events I do, the more work I produce.

My Iphone was robbed on NYE. The guy asked me for the time, and when I pulled out the phone, he snatched it and ran. I gave chase with a bottle of champagne, ready to club him... The cops joined in too. Had I been in better shape, I would have caught him, but between the time on was on zyprexa and the time I spent in the hospital a year ago, my once-super athletic leg muscles have reverted to ordinary legs. I got outran as did the cops. It makes me angry- but I'm getting a replacement for $250 from a friend of a friend. I am so reliant on having an iphone with pandora on it- I need to have music in my ears to stop myself from hearing the voice while I am in transit.

I checked my grades today and they are posted- I got straight As. I also managed to secure 3 recommendations from my professors. Hopefully because of all of my efforts last term, I will be a recipient of the reintegration scholarship for this upcoming fall. If even part of my art school education will be covered by either the government, the school, or lilly, that would be amazing.

All in all, things are good on my front. I'm helping my family with the rent, getting my studies finished, and doing a good job with my photography.

Thank you for reading and I hope you have nothing but the best.

Mike

Hi Michael,

It is good to hear of your good fortune and not good to hear of the theft of your iPhone.  Luckily I have a cheap $30 phone that no one would want to steal [hopefully].

Please write back with more news either positive or not so positive either way.

I wish you all the best in the new year.

Cheers,

Christina

Christina,

As much as I'm scared of it getting stolen, I'm spending an additional 250$ to get a used iphone...

I need to have music on my phone to help deal with the voice.

Thanks.

Mike
