Hey guys,
Just checking in. I got my insurance figured out and my meds approved. It's costing me a fair chunk of change, but I need to do it until my unemployment runs out.
My holidays were good but quiet. My father felt sick, so we didn't go to my aunt's for Christmas eve or Christmas dinner. It was a bummer not to have the whole family together, but at least it's better than last year when I was in the hospital during Christmas. I didn't get much in terms of gifts from other people, but I gave out nice things. I did manage to purchase myself a Macbook Pro, so I can give my father my current Macbook, which will be all the computer he needs for a while.
The term is over and I'm pretty sure I got straight As/A-s. My photo 120 final project was great- an educated friend thinks that it may have a future in a gallery. That would be awesome.
Even though I was successful this term taking 4 classes, I'm going to cut back to 2 classes for next term, even if it means it is costing me more money. I don't want to have to deal with the stress of a full-time course-load as well as I would like to really focus on doing great things with my classes.
I just finished the preliminary photographs for my portfolio to apply to art school. I also just got my recs from my professors in order for the reintegration scholarship from Lilly. Hopefully things will work out well- I would really like to win that scholarship.
Everything is shaping up so that 2010 is going to be a better year than 2009. 2009 was a year of recovery and of preparation, 2010 is going to be a year when I seize the day.
I hope you had a wonderful holidays, have a great new years and thank you for reading.
Michael
