Last couple days

The last couple days have been interesting and difficult. I shot my friend Tai's wedding as a second shooter, done some research and footwork for my mental illness photography project, shot a business networking event where I passed out 30 or so business cards. I think that this event will turn into more work for me as well as print sales. The photos I took at both the wedding and the corporate event were pretty good. I'm getting better as a...

Medicaid dropped me- I need medical insurance but can't afford it

Hello everyone,
My medicaid just dropped me because my unemployment and disability come together to be a higher amount of money than they require. They are refusing to pay for my meds. I'm freaking out. I can't afford medical insurance at the moment- what are my options?

Descrimination

I was recently applying to be part of a focus group. When I was given the screener, they asked whether or not I ever had any interest in joining the armed forces (they were looking for people who were interested in the armed forces). I told them yes, but I would not be allowed to join the navy because I have schizoaffective disorder. They told me that they were unsure whether or not I could be part of the focus group and that they would get back...

Mental illness photography project

Hello everyone,
I'd like to share a project that I'm about to start,
I'm photographing the mentally ill in their homes, starting with myself. I was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder a year ago, and have been looking for ways to shed light on my illness as well as the illnesses of others. My goal is to show that mental illness is invisible as well as to treat the relationship that exists between mental illness and environment. I would...

Looking for a coping mechanism

Hello guys,
I'm a 23 year old student that is looking for a coping mechanism to deal with schizophrenia. I am currently taking my medications and am in the process of adding a new medication, however I still hear the same voice during inopportune times (like when I am watching movies during classes). I usually have to excuse myself and I will often go home and lie down. Even though I have these problems, I'm still pulling straight As, but find...
