There is a principle in the spirit realm. If you resist the (d)evil, it (he) will flee from you. That seems somewhat of a contradiction to a person with sz symptoms but the problem is that the evil is not being resisted or ignored as it should be. Thoughts can be very alarming and overwhelming. It takes a lot of resisting. Thought patterns and habits of thought have to be changed for the evil to lose its grip. In the thick of things when someone is having a bad day, it might not be much use to tell a person to not believe in the source of their torment but with time, it might do some good. The torment is real but the cause of torment could be avoided if those thoughts are not believed. The problem is that the thoughts are usually quite convincing but it is worth it not to believe what you believe even if it might be true because it becomes as if it was true if you believe it. This is my suggestion. Don't believe in the hallucinations and voices because they act on your fears. If this helps, good. If not, maybe it will help at a later time. It takes a lot of time to change every thought pattern or habit that a person has.
I hope everyone has a nice day today.

Habit becomes second nature, but i think it's more effective if a person makes a strong decision to think and act in a certain manner before the episode actually takes place.
A person can imagine himself on a battlefield, and he's fighting for his life. Either he must die or his enemy must die. (the negetive habit or thought)
And little by little a person really is successful in overcoming his bad thoughts or habit. But, of course, it takes sincerity and an iron will. Sometimes it can take years, but well worth it.
Even much suffering is worth while in doing the right thing.
Thanks for your input. It does take years because of the broad scope of change that is needed in the thought processes. It does not seem like it is something that can be avoided initially but can be overcome with time. There is no merit in having symptoms of sz but there is merit in overcoming it but there is something to say for the suffering that it causes even though the object is to not suffer from it. I wonder just how much doctors understand about it.
