Everyone on this site is so nice.

You might think that it would not be that way. I know that this is not a full representation of everyone affected by sz but it is refreshing compared to what is out there on the web. It could be a consequence of what happens when people suffer. They tend to be more considerate or sensitive to other people who suffer.

Anyway, I do not have symptoms of sz but I am interested in the way the mind works and the people here are quite...

I just remembered

One of the "symptoms" that my friend had was that he would have these "prophetic" events were he would have an intuition of something happening just before it happened but at times, it was rather confusing as to which actually happened first. At other times, it was quite convincing. Even so, he has since given up on these kinds of "signs and wonders" because, of course, that has issues of its own for theological reasons. There were many reasons...

The phenomenon of SZ

I can't speak for extreme cases of SZ because I don't know very much about them but I do know some about what would be perhaps the milder of cases. These more mild symptoms of SZ seem to come and go for no apparent reason but there are some things that can be done. Intense concentration and activity do seem to hinder the power or intensity of the voices and hallucinations. A good conscience seems to help a great deal and if you are able to...

I just had my first big challenge to be able to help someone and I guess I failed.

Well after trying to help someone, this person basically threatened to kill me and it was after the person had taken a medication (I forget what it was since I am not that familiar with any medicines, I will find out later). I know the person didn't really mean it but it was just way above my tolerance level. This is someone I know fairly well. I guess I will have to break off communication with this person at least for a while and let time...

One basic principle - for what its worth

There is a principle in the spirit realm. If you resist the (d)evil, it (he) will flee from you. That seems somewhat of a contradiction to a person with sz symptoms but the problem is that the evil is not being resisted or ignored as it should be. Thoughts can be very alarming and overwhelming. It takes a lot of resisting. Thought patterns and habits of thought have to be changed for the evil to lose its grip. In the thick of things when someone...

Sunday Drive

I am going to try to share something. (Don't expect too much) I took my wife out for a drive today and she met up with her sister. We spent the entire afternoon driving and we never found what they were looking for. It would have helped a lot if they had a street name. LOL! I guess the important thing was the experience. I think I will take a nap now.

I would like to share a story of a friend of mine : )

This friend of mine had a bad experience almost thirty years ago and he doesn't want anyone to know about it because he has about 15 more years before he retires. : ) It took him about four or five years for him to work through his problems but after that, he was able to find a vocation and has been working ever since and he has been at his last job for some twenty years now. The stigma of having such a problem as that is a little much but he...
