Except, that is, for a volunteer job I now do once a month. My chair is next to a large window looking out on the Trinity River. Each time I go, I watch a small patch midstream as it gains or loses ground. It confirms that life is not just all about me. Things change by increments over time and somehow I feel that validates my recovery.

Yes, I enjoy the simple things in life, too.
Will be clearing my appointment schedule in July and August because I've been so busy I've been frazzled.
