I am so happy right now. I am doing a happy dance (don't ask...lol!) My son was in the hospital since Friday..He called on Monday and I went to see him. It was trying for a bit because the staff came and talked with me (This is the same ward I have been on for years). He got upset but I told him that I will pay attention to him. Anyway yesterday he was discharged on Tuesday and I brought him to his home.
As I brought him home he wanted to know more about our families history. This is an interest of mine as well. I woke this morning thinking that researching our lines would be a great way for us to connect. I'm gonna plan a trip to see if we can find some records. Should be fun.
So the good thing that happened this last week is that I have my son back. All my fears that he'd hate me for calling the police are gone.
I am dropping off my application at a nursing for a volunteer job. I am excited about the possibility of working with seniors. I have always felt a prompting to work with them.
I have been busy cleaning up around the house. I work one room at a time as to not to get overwhelmed.
I figured out why I have been in my "funky' mood..my shot is due on Thursday. Meds are a godsend for me. Even though meds have side effects I am grateful that they give me a good, stable life. I have ups and downs but I am able to ride them out.
I guess that's all for now...

Hi earlyriser,
It is good your son is getting the help he needs; hopefully he says in whatever treatment is necessary and commits to his recovery.
I echo your volunteerism ethic because it doesn't matter what you do it only matters that you do something. So volunteering with seniors could be a worthy and life-affirming gig.
Let us know how it goes.
Have a good day.
Regards,
Christina
You're precious.
I'm smiling. See. It's contagious.
