As I sat here thinking about Thanksgiving at my grandparents house growing up. I began to think about grandpa. This is my most cherished memory of him........One time my grandfather took me into the woods and took a leaf from a tree and said "can you make one of these?" I said no. (I can still see the leaf, the blue sky with wisping clouds floating by in my minds eye). Then he asked if any man could, I said no. He then said "God made all of ...these trees and flowers for us". He asked if I prayed for him, I said no..then he asked "then how does God know what you want to tell me when we live miles away"? When I was sick, he asked, not told, me to try and not cry so much. I weep thinking of him. When I went to the state hospital he gave me his Bible. My dad paints a terrible pic of grandpa, but I saw grandpa's heart and soul. It gives me great comfort knowing that I will see my beloved grandfather again. I am thankful for his love and guidance.
I hope everyone has a blessed and wonderful day today. Its a day of giving thanks to all we have.
I am thankful for my wife and children. I am thankful for a fairly sound mind. I am thankful for a warm home and food and clothes. I am thankful for medication and ECT's. I am thankful that I can type in order to share my life here. I am thankful for the love and support I get here from you. I am thankful for this country and the freedom it provides.
SO what's for supper? We're having a traditional meal.....turkey, red smashed potatoes, corn, green beans, stuffing, gravy, rolls, pumpkin pie, banana cream pie and apple crisp. Kathy and I are creating our own bread stuffing..its gonna have white bread, fresh fennel, sage, celery, onion, chicken broth, ham, walnuts, salt and pepper.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!

Hi David,
A man of the faith such as yourself will not want to know I won $32 playing a dice game at the dining table after dinner on Thanksgiving. Well I did. I used it to buy Christmas cards.
I had leftover turkey for dinner on Friday. I was glad I could see my brother on Thanksgiving.
Well now today I have to go Christmas shopping.
Peace be with you in this holiday season.
Regards,
Christina
