this site is biased

By grizzled Friday, September 30, 2011

Your "are you in an abusive relationship" is so slanted against the males, it makes me sick. Most may be men as the abuser, but to stereotype and then only have a disclaimer in the 11th page makes your site incredibly bull. At least remember "innocent until proven guilty" and more females commit abuse on children than males, especially including the drownings and fatal attacks.

Have you considered that perhaps women are more wiling to discuss their abuse situations than males?  That could account for the perception of bias.

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month and I will devote a SharePost exclusively to this topic.  Please stay tuned.  It will focus on people who have schizophrenia, as this is what our Web site is geared to.

People with schizophrenia like Andrea Yates don't want to drown their babies, they have an illness and are unfortunately a lot sicker than someone like me who has a Masters degree and works three jobs.  Three jobs, not just two.

I don't know how busy you are however I'd love to hear your actual suggestions about how to halt the abuse of men you have repeatedly commented on.  Do you have actual statistics about how widespread the abuse of men is by women?  Could you give us a concrete idea about how to stop this?

You do seem to have the time to write about this so I'd welcome your ideas about how to prevent this abuse.

Like I said in previous responses, I'm a woman and I will write from a woman's perspective.  Other women have written in to me who praised this Web site for writing about the topic of abuse.  It might just have saved their lives.

Christina
