    Hello Shalini,

Love him and tell him you love him.  Contact Punitha Suresh, another woman from India who posted a SharePost here recently.  Click on "Latest SharePosts" and click back until you find hers.  Or else, at the top of the page, where it says "search...", type in Punitha Suresh.  She is looking to form a support group in India.

Most of all, know that it's possible for your husband to recover.  His life might not be the same after the diagnosis, but it can be a full, productive, happy life just as well.

Again, as I and others have often talked about in here, the key is for someone with schizophrenia to stay on his or her medication.  If the medication isn't working, talk with the psychiatrist about finding a more effective one.

Please continue to write SharePosts in here whenever you feel like it.  We are a supporting community and welcome you.

    Best wishes,

    Chri

    Hello Shalini,

    Welcome to the Connection!

Love your husband, and tell him you love him, often.  He could possibly feel ashamed to have gotten sick.  Let him know that you support him in what he's going through.

If you want support from another woman in India, click on "search..." at the top right of the Connection page, and search on Punitha Suresh, who is living in Chennai.

Most of all, your husband has a good chance of a full, productive, happy life.  Recovery is possible.  I wish you and him the best.

Again, as I and others have talked about in here, the key is to stay on the medication.  If the medication doesn't work, talk with the psychiatrist about finding a better one.

Feel free to write SharePosts again.  We will support you in what you go through.

    Regards,

    Chri

Hi there kid Im just finding out a whole lot of schizophernoa on the internet my son is 25 and has been diagonsed with it..I know its really hard to deal with.Because I for one am having a hard time.Cry There are just times I wish there was someone  could just talk to about it..The hurt in my sons eyes the emptyness he has on his face.I just tear up..I know that scz. paitents have there up and down days. Just make sure that if your husband is hearing voices get him medical help.Because my son never told us this started when he was 14 and it has gotten to the point his voices were trying to take controll..He is now in a mental facility getting help and I pray to God each night for the strength to get him through another day with no voices..They have him on Deogon..So far he said it is helping..Sure hope this helps in some way hon.

there is a sight called nolongerlonely and there is alot of people on there that can help and www.NAMI.com thats how i begain my search was with Nami.

                                      God Bless
