There is nothing more sublime to heal your wounded soul than to give love to an equally wounded creature. A shelter animal, an abandoned animal, a love-hungry animal. A wounded animal. And animals – cats, dogs, turtles, birds – share love, above in many ways to human love, for it is innocent and unconditional. Animals accept nurture, and give back caring in a pristine and pure way. Because they are helpless without you, they need you, and they stick with you and give back your love and care.
