Good morning,
This week has gone by really quick. It's been up and down emotionally. My daughter is in town until Saturday. I was really anxious when I spent time with her the first day she was here. We did some shopping and then went to watch Sherlock Holmes.
She spent yesterday at Sea World with her Uncle Ronald and they had a great time together. I'm taking her to the Reuben H. Fleet Center tonight to watch an IMAX movie about the human body. We'll probably do some more shopping before that, she loves shopping!
The NAMI meeting was packed with new faces. It was an interesting group, a lot of people shared. I am so grateful that I started attending this meeting.
Next Tuesday I'll probably attend an AA/NA meeting on my lunch break. I went to one 2 weeks ago, but before that it had been months. These meetings cause me a great deal of anxiety and I avoid them but the only way to get over this is to continue going. We'll see how long that last.
That's all for now. Have a nice day.

Hi Rene,
I'm glad to see your visit with your daughter went well.
I understand you could have anxiety about the other meeting. Perhaps it brings up something you're not able to face at this moment in time? I rarely feel that walking away is the answer, I feel like meeting the challenge head-on is the best thing, a technique I call "embrace the struggle."
Only you know what's going on so you'll have the final say on what you want to do. I wish I could attend a support group only none exists at a time and location convenient to where I live and my work schedule.
I've found that for the most part services here are geared to patients who do not work at all and who can very well attend groups during the day. My goal is to form what's called a Mastermind Circle of four women who can meet on a late Sunday afternoon to brainstorm solutions to our problems, set goals, and offer feedback and encouragement. the concept of a Mastermind Circle is talked about in the Hill Harper book The Wealth Cure.
So I'm glad things are working out for you. I respect your commitment to working at a job and going to the gym. You are an inspiration to me, even if you don't know how that could be. I can only respect and admire people who have a hard time and won't let it stop them.
Regards,
Christina
