By lynn Saturday, November 03, 2007
I have been living with this for a very long time now. There have been many years that I would not take my medications.I would drift off into anoher world and stay there. One day I was sitting on my couch, trying to tune the voices out of my head and my 17 year old daughter put her face three inches from mine and said"POSITIVE IS POWER"Thats when it hit me.Being positive about taking my medication & im powerful while im on medication.I have not missed a dose since...

Thank You for sharing your story.I have been living with schizoaffective disorder over half of my life and while I have always taken my medication I understand there are many folks like yourself who go off of their medications from time to time. Hopefully others who read your post will come to realize how very important it is to take the medications as their doctors tell them to do.

We need more people like yourself to write in so others can learn from others mistakes. I am so happy your daughter made you see this and hopefully others can learn from you.

May God Bless You and your family!

Thank you Janet! Before my daughter even said those words,i was living like I was the only one living with this desease, but realized after she said that to me,that when one person has to live with it,there family and friends do to.I realized i was only thinking about how i felt and not care about everyone around me.The quote for my everyday now is,Positive is Power..Grin
