The five L's. Live, love, laugh, learn, listen.  What these words mean to me and why I post them.

Live: to live is the greatest joy I have. There's been times where I didn't want to. I'm living for a reason, a calling. My purpose is to live and to bring life to those who want and need it. I'm satisfied with most of my life. I wouldn't trade one bit of it.

Love: Love is a blessing. For many years I never knew love. Now I have love for many things and many people. True love. I feels sooooo good to love and be loved. I find it's easier to love than hate. It works my mind and body in a kind, gentle way.

Laugh: I love to laugh. I love the sound of others laughing. If feels wonderful. I laugh at myself first, not in a harmful way, in a loving way. My grandfather told me once "Laugh and the world laughs with you. Cry and you cry alone." I'm not alone.

Learn: Wisdom is power. My 8th grade history teacher told me not stop learning after high school. That challenge has given me life, wisdom, strength and a new purpose in life. I learn new things to make myself better. There' s a wealth of knowledge out there waiting for me to find it.

Listen: One must listen to the silence to know one's true destiny. If I can hear nothing and make something out of it, then my goal is complete. I listen to the still voice, the one that's mine, and take refuge in it.

Live, love, laugh, learn, listen,

Dave
