Just a quick post on this.

With ref to your last post if you are feeling old, I think I am entering my second childhood, actually 62!

This fable made me think of 'The velveteen rabbit or How toys become real' by Margery Williams 1880-1844, chidren's bedtime story. Do you know this?

I did not know it from my childhood but  remember reading a borrowed copy from the library to our adopted children, during their early childhood. Powerful parables at play , attachment, belonging, rejection, damage and loss but love being over-riding.

There are versions to google on line.

    Best wishes

Thanks Chris, for your wonderful words. I've never heard of that fable. I will google it.

    Your friend,
