In my last sharepost, I talked about the giving of heart. I posted it on three sites. One of those sites is my local newspaper. I post there because I want the opinions of people that have no MI.
I received a comment that I would like to address. The first line of this comment was that most peo...

field of vision

I have noticed in my own life that something like you described can occupy your field of vision both physically and psychologically. For a long time, hospitals and my stays there dominated my thoughts, e.g., when will I be re-admitted, how long will I have to stay next time, what will be accomplished, how can I deal with a loved one's disapproval, etc. I had a hard time focusing elsewhere. But once I trained myself to consider other opportunities, like what can I do to make myself stronger today, reading articles that encouraged med compliance, how can I take better care of myself and perhaps avoid hospitalization -- once I started broadening my narrow horizon and thinking along these lines, then I began to get better.

Field of View

HI Dave,
Wasn't it Gloria Vanderbilt who is quoted: "Every eye is a mirror?"
Sometimes, we see what we want to see.
Or we see what we expect to see, and other people live up to our negative opinion of them.
Some of you out there may chide me for believing this, but I believe the good we do in the world comes back to us tenfold.
You can train yourself to see the good in things.
I, too, stopped counting the anniversaries.
Cheers,
Christina

You are so right when you said the good we do comes back tenfold. I try to see the good in people. Even in my own family. I like to believe that everyone is capable of doing good things.
I will train myself to see good things.

Great advice and such a gem to live life by!!! Wish I had said that! Thanks for the pragmatic encouragement Mr. David! Focus on the beautiful things. A related Proverb, "Guard your heart for it is the wellspring of life"
Spent 10 days in Tampa and flew back to MI last night...now I could say that it's miserably cold here compared to sunny Florida but you know, as I drove home from the airport in all that snow, it was so beautiful.
Later oh wise one!!!
