What do you do when you feel blue? Find something that amuses you.

For an example. Yesterday was a very emotional day. Alot happened to make me feel sad.

When I'm sad the best thing I do to get me out of the blues is to cook or bake. I decided to bake a cake with a peanut butter frosting. Simple right? If you know me well enough you will know that nothing I do is simple.

I made the cake with no problem. I went to find a recipe for the peanut butter frosting. I looked at two of my recipe sites...nothing there that grabbed my eye. I then tore through all of the cookbooks in the house. Nothing there also.

I did manage to find some recipes but they weren't what I was looking for. So I decided to take what I read and create a recipe all my own.

I'm not a creative person by nature. But the frosting was soooo good.

I frosted the cake to soon. It was still warm. So the frosting melted and the top layer slid off. OMG! What a mess...LOL! The cake and frosting were really good though. Not a good looking cake, but it was yummy.

Never judge a book by its cover and never judge a cake by the mess it is! And never frost a warm cake!

Have a great day!

Happy 4th of July,

Live, love, laugh, learn, listen,

Hi Dave,

I am not in danger of frosting a warm cake, as I am never near a cake or mixing bowl to begin with!  I will feast vicariously on your culinary delights by reading your SharePosts.  They make my day.

Happy 4th!

Cheers,

Christina
