Been up a while chatting with some friends.

The voices are gone right now. I talked my way out of em. The distraction of talking helped. I hope one day they will go away for good. I will always have hope.

LeRoy Douglas said "Hope is one of those things in life you cannot do without."

Life is good. I feel alive and energetic. My fears are on the back burner. My face is to the sun. The wind is at my back. My feet are on the ground.

I was 17 when I was committed. I made a choice that led me to this day. I decided to always look for the next open door. I have waited patiently in the hall many times for the next door to open. Plus I haven't walked into any parking meters, lately.

I could lay down and let life go by. That ain't gonna happen.

Affirmations are new to me. I didn't realize the power and fortitude they bring. SEE? Another door opened. I'm glad that I have lived long enough to see a total change in myself.

Is it all about me? For the sake of this sharepost it is. I write these shareposts to help. They help me by getting my thoughts out where I can see them. It is my hope that they help others as well. In AA they talk about experience, strength and hope. Being an "old man" ( that's what my son calls me) I have alot of experience, some strength, and everlasting hope.

William Durant said "Forget past mistakes. Forget failures. Forget about everything except what you're going to do now - and do it."

I have a busy day ahead. I made about 75 mini cupcakes that I have to frost. I wanna go to the flea market. I get scrubbies and sponges there at a good price. I want to take some stuff upstairs that is piling up.

Have a good day and take care, and always remember to,

Live, love, laugh, learn, listen,

Dave
