Voices are active today. Not really too bothersome. Music on voices gone.   I see my pdoc this afternoon for my 5 minute shot appointment. I'm gonna tell him about my fear of someone shooting me through the side window. I will also mention the "dark" voices. I hope he's understanding...

    Hi Dave,

You're most welcome to keep writing here and I look forward to your SharePosts every day.  I hear you're baking lasagna.  I might try that sometime because my mother might buy me a baking dish.

    Enjoy the lasagna.

    Regards,

    Christina

The "professionals" should be paying close attention to what you are saying. How do they expect to learn anything about sz if they don't get any feedback???

Could you please tell me more about your voices? What are the "dark voices" and what do they say? What do the other voices say? Who are they... It is such an intriging mystery. What is your opinion as to the soarch of the voices? i know there is a medical explanation, but somehow it doesn't seem really satisfactory. Perhaps there is an element here that we fail to consider.

Do you remember Sybil? (An alias for a real woman who suffered horrifing abuse from infancy until age 18, and as a result developed 40 different personalities, each with a distinctive voice and identity.) Surely there must be some point that we fail to appreciate about voices and multiple personality disorder.

I will be glad to tell to you some about the voices.

I started hearing them at age 17. At that time I was using drugs and drinking heavily. The first time I heard them I was high. I wrote a sharepost about it called April 4th, 1980-April 4th, 2009.

"Dark" voices are voices I do not recognize. Most of the voices I hear are people I know. The dark ones tell me horrible things. Things like "you are a rotten person or you ain't good enough, no matter what we will haunt you." I know all those things are not true.

I am hearing Judge Judy right this moment. Its like a voice recorder, she's yelling but I can't make out what she's saying. I am also hearing music by The Mamas and Papas.

I do not know the source of why or how I hear voices. I recently had a brief hiatus for about two weeks with no voices. It could be a chemical imbalance in my brain.

I read the book Sybil in high school. It was interesting. I don't think I have a split personality.

Last year I started do something about the voices. I'm taking a more active role in how I deal with them. I have been talking alot about voices for about a year. I have written many shareposts about it. Some are vague, but now I'm starting to describe them in more detail.

At this moment I hear nothing. I do not know why. I'm happy that I don't, I can concentrate better.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask, I will gladly reply.

    Dave
