feeling more better..hee hee

By David Robbins Monday, August 03, 2009

I am back from my ECT. No kidding! I am so much better. Its a total transformation. I'm not anxious or depressed. I do have a headache from the anesthesia. I took some pills for it.

As usual I had fun with the staff. One tech, I've known for years, kids around with me every time I see him. Of, course I kid back. I have to. The nurse manager even went out of her way to say hello. She even knows my name! How cool is that! I brought some cookies in for the staff too. One woman said that they were better than hers. The tech that was in the dining room talked about her dogs. Its nice that they are so friendly and kind and alot of fun!

There a  couple of other things that have happened lately that are cool. I made a pumpkin for the computer repair shop. They sent us a thank you and will proudly display it around Halloween. I also received a letter from the state hospital director thanking me for the letter I sent. ( I think I wrote about that already.)

I baked a lemon meringue pie. Haven't tried it yet.

Has anyone heard of Coconut M&M's? OMG! They are yummy. We bought 3 cases.

Christmas anyone? We have most of our shopping done. I need to buy for Margaret. My Christmas Club money will be deposited in Oct. That's good, because her birthday is in Oct.

I'm kinda woosy so I will post this and go lay down.

Take care of yourselves and remember to,

Live, love, laugh, learn, listen,

So glad you are feeling better, Dave.

Your hospital visit day seemed to have wonderfully  incorporated many aspects of 'things that work for the whole person' as in Christina's Q of the week.

Yes the ECT was the main medical therapy, but alongside that you experience and contribute yourself to the professionalism ,mutual cameraderie and respect for shared interpersonal interactions that make the world go round.(Even, or perhaps more so in scary settings) Laughter and food and loving family were not absent either!!

3 'cases'  (what US measure is that?!) of M and M coconut!!!! My goodness, you mention Christmas......Surely this should take you through until Lent?Smile

Love lemon meringue pie.....

Hi Chris. Thanks for your comment. A case of M&M's is 24 bags. I haven't tried the pie yet maybe later. Margaret said its good.

Take care,

Dave

Hi Dave,

I will definitely have to try the coconut M&Ms sometime soon.

Maybe I'll buy them for a bowl at my housewarming party.

Where do you get them?

Nowadays you can even personalize your M&Ms from the M&M website and have them delivered.  Maybe I'll do that with the coconut if that is an option.

I'm glad the treatment went well today.

My mother baked the staff cookies when I was released from the hospital the second time.

I'm sure your treats are much appreciated.

Have a good day.

Regards,

Christina

The only place we found them is at a Walgrens Pharmacy. If you want some hurry they are a limited item.

Have fun at your housewarming party!

Take care,

Dave

I never heard of coconut M&M's but it sounds good. Maybe I will see if I can find them.

Your treatment sounds kind of rough, I hope you recover from it soon (or maybe you have already).
