Music of my life

By David Robbins Tuesday, August 18, 2009

"I used to think that life was just emotion passing by." That's today's musical journey into the mind at 3am!.

I woke up after having a weird dream about scientists that successfully cloned dinosaurs. They were roaming all over. My grandson loves dinosaurs. We bought him some at the flea market. A vender had some dinos. I asked her how much they were, she said "The big ones are $1.00 and the small ones $.50". I picked out 5 big ones and was ready to pay $5.00, she said "$2.50." I thought okay that's good." I paid and later I said to Margaret, wow I expected to pay $5.00 but I was pleased that I didn't.

My zucchini bread is very yummy! The first one wasn't done all the way through, though. It is a good recipe. The bread stuck, so I had to bang the pan on the table to get them out. I sprayed the pans, but they stuck anyway. I'm satisfied with it. Life is like that. If you are stuck bang on something to free yourself. (just don't bang to hard).

Lucas Hellmer said
"Aim not for what you are, but for what you could be." Is that like thinking outside the box? Personally I don't care for being in a box.  I know what and who I am. My aim is elsewhere, outside of me. I know what I could be. My journey is filled with exciting and new paths. My two projects are testament of that.

Everyday is a chance at doing what I enjoy most. My calling to help is my driving force. That force is limited. I can't save all the starfish.

Well its after 4am now. The music is quieter. The voices are entering the ring. I am gonna refocus, cast out the voices, and use my project as a distraction.

Take care and as always,

Live, love, laugh, learn, listen,

Hello from Christina in the late am,

I agree with you Dave because right now I'm aiming for who I could be.  A good friend pushes me in this regard and I'm compelled to tell her to back off however I'll decide whether or not I want to as she means well.

I believe in shooting for the stars and if you miss there's always the moon.

Of course at first, starting out in recovery, you're going to want to set modest, realistic goals and that is fine to give yourself the confidence that you can take on bigger ones.

Well I wouldn't know what it's like to stand still as you are well aware.

I take inspiration from you always.

Regards,

Christina

There is a concept of theology (that I came to realize) that God is not confined to a box, we cannot put Him into a box but He also is not excluded from said box either, we cannot keep Him out of the box (which is the world that we live in). I enjoy theology but some people take offense to it even though there is a lot of evidence of God but the evidence shows that God has to be very great, greater than the entire universe that is also made of the same basic elements which are the same designed interchangeable parts that make up the amino acids that we are made up of. People have tried to shoot down the idea of a God but there is still a lot of good reason to believe that a God is likely because of the fact that things don't make themselves and nothing else can make them either. I don't want to push the point but I thought that I would just throw that out there.
