Yesterday I was out front sweeping the leaves off of my sidewalk and driveway. My neighbor across the street was using a leaf blower on his. When he finished he asked if I wanted him to do mine. I himmed and hawwed and finally I said sure. He and I finished in record time. He even scooped up the leaves as I held the bags open. I thanked him profusely.

I saw that my next door neighbor was also getting leaves off his sidewalk. So I went and helped him.

Good deeds don't have to be huge undertakings. Smile at the people you pass, open a door, let someone ahead of you in line at a store, let a car get into traffic. There so much that we can do for others.

Today is my beloved's birthday. I bought her a bracelet and a birthday card that has music and you can record a message. I will bake a Black Cake with a boiled frosting.

I haven't been writing about my culinary skills lately. I made pumpkin raisin nut bread. Yesterday I made buttermilk biscuits. The biscuits were good with strawberries and whipped cream. I better stop I'm making myself hungry and its only 4am and breakfast isn't until 8am.

Also yesterday we did the thing that I dread most...cleaning the curtains. This time it wasn't that bad. I actually rehung the curtains without getting frustrated and pouting. It went soooo much better than ever. SEE? There's is hope in doing things I dread!

That's all the eggs I have today.

Keep your feet on the ground, the sun on your face and the wind at your back. Live, love, laugh, learn, listen, David
