Three days

It was three days since I last posted. I am doing okay. Halloween went well with lots of tricks and treaters.

My voices are quiet. I have a few but they are so fast and soft spoken that I am unable to remember what they say. Also I have been busy, both mentally and physically. Myself and two neighbors have been raking and bagging leaves. Wow! What a chore, it was nice to have the three of us out there helping each other. People helping people.

About 4 months ago my upper partial broke. I had the money to fix it but didn't. This past Monday I had my 6 month cleaning and decided to fix my partial. Having a "jack o lantern" smile is embarassing. I smiled very little in the last 4 months. I have my partial and smile back. It feels good not to be so self conscious.

For lunch today I grilled steaks, baked oven-browned potatoes. While they were cooking I made some chicken fried rice and some chicken noodle soup. I laughed and told Margaret that I could run a cafe, me being the classic multi-tasker. Anyway the food turned out yummy. OH! This morning I made chocolate chip cookies.

In between all that cooking and baking we went to the mall. I wanted a tan sports coat to go with my khaki pants. We found a nice one for $50. While up there I told Margaret that I wanted to show her the store store where I bought a vest and a bowtie. They were having a sale, so we bought a white suit (Jacket and pants) and a cool shirt for $130. The pants have to be hemmed. I can get them in 2 or 3 days.

We went and voted today. NYS has new voting machines. I made a mistake on my ballot and the voting people didn't know what to do to fix it. Eventually they all agreed on what to do..all's well! It took longer than ever to post my ballot. Its a good thing NYS updated the ballot machine.
