The early morning ramble

By David Robbins Tuesday, December 08, 2009

My talk at the state hospital went very well. I was pleased to see that two of them were actually interested and asked questions. Only one fell asleep.

Before I went to the group I stopped by to talk to the manager of the cafe where I used to work. We chatted and I told her that if there's anything I can do please let me know. The other was the man who oversees outpatient jobs. I told him once again I want to help. The problem is that NYS and the Mental Health Admin won't let me because I don't have the clinical training. He said I may be able to be assist a group. He said he'd call but I am doubtful.

The hospital opened the new outpatient center. Its a block from my house. That's where I want to be involved in groups.

Today's musical lyric is "Hark the herald the angels sing, glory to new born king." I love Christmas Carols.

There were a few voices running around, I put them in their place.

I was chatting with my dad this morning. If you don't believe in miracles, believe this. I actually enjoyed our talk. This is like the first time we have ever had a civil conversation that wasn't mean or anger filled. The power of prayer does indeed work.

Take care all of you.

Live, love, laugh, learn, listen,

David

Hi Dave,

It must be a glory day when you have that kind of a good talk with your father.

I hope you have more.

Glad to see the talk went well.

Regards,

Christina
