Sometimes I just can't fathom these studies. It is not that I don't believe, it is that my experience with myself and those I know with mental illness usually have HIGH IQ"S, not low.
How do we answere this? Can we do a study of adults to determine whether the "normal" IQ of those experiencing and functioning with mental illness is higher or lower?
Personally I have never believed that IQ was a valid gauge of intelligence or not.
I know that I am not a doctor, but just reading share posts of the adults on this site lead me to believe that we are all of at least normal IQ and many of us above average in intelligence, so what does this study really mean?
Thank you...with fondness
