Does anyone know what happened to the guy down the street who talks to inanimate objects? He no longer lives there. Does anyone ever wonder where he went?
No, it does not matter, as long as he does not come back.
Everyone on the street is happy that he is gone. They can all sleep better at night knowing that the old scary mentally ill man no longer lives near them. Finally, their complaints about his strange behavior must have been dealt with.
The child abuser, drug dealer, pedophile scumbags may still be living amongst them, but they feel safer knowing that they no longer have to worry about the occasional bizarre episodes from their schizophrenic neighbor.
One time he brought home a car full of balloons and popped them in his yard. Oh man, that was scary!
Another time he had blood on his shirt and a neighbor had to call the police and have several squad cars sent out to investigate. After all, he might have just murdered someone. Fortunately, nobody was injured but him. It turns out that he had just had surgery and did not properly bandage his wound. It was a good thing so many policemen showed up because there is no telling what kind of damage he could have limped out there and caused.
That was just one of many times that the police were sent out to his house. Can you believe that they never arrested him? There is a rumor that he has been in and out of jail for years, but his arrests were always minor and the charges were dropped. Some people have too many civil rights these days!
Nobody intervened when he was screaming at his door because it was locked and he could not find his key. He was too large to fit through the window so he stopped a school bus to see if he could borrow a child to squeeze through the window and unlock the door for him. That time he for sure should have been apprehended and taken to a hospital with a psychiatric facility.
That time actually could have been interpreted as scary, but nothing happened that time. Maybe he would have received the help he so obviously needed. Instead, a police officer investigated the incident and found it to be a harmless misunderstanding. Wow, he sure got lucky!
The next time he got locked out of his home was in the middle of the night and he woke up his neighbors to borrow their phone to call his landlord to come help him. He was given an eviction notice the next morning.
This man, who up until these latest episodes, had been doing well staying on his medications and living on his own for several months. Then after his surgery, he could not handle the minor changes in his routine, including being responsible enough to take his medication properly. Even with regular almost daily visits with his care providers, he had a major setback.
Part of the problem was the care providers. They did their job, threw his medication at him, and checked him off of their list for the day. When his own family members, the very few of very many, who are actually involved in his life, called these "professionals" to voice concerns about his behavior, they were told that he was doing great.
