About Me

Paul Ballas, D.O., is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his medical internship and is currently a resident and will soon be beginning a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry in the department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and has been a presenter at the American Psychiatric Association, and the American Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine annual meetings. He has also won two travel fellowships, one to study psychiatry at Osaka City University in Osaka, Japan, and another to attend the annual meeting of the American Psychosomatic Society in Budapest, Hungary.

Dr. Ballas has written extensively on psychiatry and the internet. His current academic interests including child psychiatry sleep medicine, ethics in medicine, and forensic psychiatry. In his free time, Dr. Ballas is an avid reader; his interests include technology, literary theory, Asian culture, and architecture.
