I've always made poor choices based on my history of loniness and displaced affection.  My HS sweetheard dumped me for a girl he got pregnant twice, so I think somewhere in my psyc I got the idea that sex would reward me and I would get the prize.  It's no suprise when my parents put me ...

Dear Tinker, thanks for sharing your story. I'm sorry you had such a hard go of things.  The way some men treat women is deplorable. Most men think with their man parts and not their hearts. Gay men think the same way. My dad treats my mom with disrespect. He verbally abuses her, belittles her and he cheated on her. I watched how dad treated her, and from a young age, knew that wasn't how a woman should be treated. I treat my wife with dignity and pride. In a sense I did the opposite of dad. Love isn't all about sex. Love is a soft touch, caring, thoughtful, protective, joyous, engaging, kind, considerate.

I understand to a certain degree how you feel. I wish you well. May peace and harmony fill you up. Don't despair. My wife was 52 when we met and married. She told me she was almost ready to stop believing in love. I'm a firm believer that it's never to late to give up. Don't count yourself out. I dream of writing a book. Been dreaming of that since I was a teenager..I'm 45 now. I still believe.

    sincerely,

    Dave,

Another thing in common...I love to write and have ALWAYS as long as I can remember wanted to find a topic I could write that would express my spirit and make a difference!

Maybe we could write a "Man And Woman" perspective on life?

    LOL

    Take care..today is much better!

    thx
