I don't feel at all well today. Over the last 2-3 months fatigue keeps threatning to take over. After getting ready for the day, after exercising, after lunch and sometimes also in the early evening, I have to lie down for 20-30 min and sometimes even nap for an hour or so. For me, this is unusual and I have no idea what is causing it. Kind of makes me afraid of what is happening. I did go September 22 to my family practice physician and she did the yearly blood tests and all, but I haven't heard back from her yet. Last night, I did wake up about 1am and didn't feel "right" so I tested my blood sugar. I don't have diabetes (that I know of) but because I gained so much weight on Zyprexa, my pdoc told me to have it checked regularly. So I test myself once every couple of weeks. At 1am this morning, it was 207, which is in the diabetic range. Yet when I got up at 4am, it was back down to 118. What the heck is going on?
Other than this fussiness about my health, things are going well with me. For a while, I couldn't read, and I am now reading again. For a while, I couldn't watch movies, and I have seen 3 in the last 3 months and managed to sit through the entire movie. Usually all I could stand was about 20 minutes, then I would walk out. I couldn't put the sound and dialogue and plot and music and visuals together in a coherent whole. Very frustrating.
And as long as I am musing, I received a strange Christmas gift from my ex-husband. He had written and said he wanted to buy me something, did I have any preferences. I said buy me a silver medallion or charm to go with a silver chain I already have. He send me a tiny cross that was tarnished and said he had it around for a couple of years and thought I might like it. It really wasn't what I had in mind, though. You know what I mean.
I just went to Walmart and bought groceries, Rx's and some photo paper for my printer. I love fooling around with my digital camera and seeing what happens. I have had it maybe 8 months and still haven't explored all it can do. I did read the manual thoroughly, though, so I have some ideas. It is up in the 70's here today (Fort Worth, TX) so it would be an ideal to go out and take some photos. Once I bought a Pentax non-digital SLR camera (in the 70's) and did a walk around town shooting in black and white. I knew some of the pictures would be excellent. Well, when I opened the camera after rewinding the film, there was a cardboard piece in there I hadn't noticed before. It said, "Remove before using camera." All of my pictures were blank. I was so embarrassed and disappointed.
