About Me

Age 50.  Diagnosed at age 37, after many years of suffering.  Divorced.  until recently, I was living w/81 yr old mom.  I love writing poetry and have won first place at several regional competitions.  I am trying to sort out some issues in my life regarding employment, med compliance,  living arrangements -- the usual suspects.  The past year, maybe two, I have made substantial recovery.  (After many hospitalizations from not taking my meds.)  I am trying not to obsess about weight gain/loss, although I doubled my weight several years ago.  I am instituting some changes in my health habits -- I am trying to exercise for 30 minutes 6 times a week, usually walking. My diet is getting healthier.  Is life difficult?  Not nearly as difficult as it used to be.  Progress is being made.  My attitude and self-esteem have improved through looking beyond my own needs and helping others.  p>
