The Land of Nobody

The Land of Nobody

<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

As far in the distance as I can see is an ocean that never ends,

Somehow this has always been a mystery, this land

Where the sun will always rise in the west and shall never set,

Not only within my wildest dreams

Can I hear the ocean waves

Gently lapping onto the shore.

If I were to hold a seashell

Next to my ear, I would,

Not right against but almost there,

For I wish to leave a little open space between, so

To hear the seagulls calling me, as they

Soar highly before that rainbow etched lightly across the sky

In all their fairness contrasting so exquisitely against

A spectrum of muted colors.

This land of my dreams is just far too beautiful

That even in my fondest reverie, I shall never escape from.

I once lived a different sort of dream,

Some may define it as a nightmare,

My past, my childhood or mountains of madness.

I climb a stairway towards eternity.

Shades of cerulean blue paint the sky as far away as I can see

Never quite meeting with the horizon, because I truly believe

The horizon has no beginning or no end.

Here I lie upon the sand and look up into the sky

In my thoughts I am building castles out of clouds, as

I have always called myself a dreamer,

In this moment, I live in a world of thoughts not things.

I call this fabulous place that I have found

The land of nobody, where the ocean waves

Crash against the cragged rocks and onto the sand upon this beach,

Here, I have built castles out of clouds.

As the sun rises and never sets

I can hear the calling of seagulls in the distance.

I hold a seashell to my ear and listen, and listen…

I look beyond that never-ending horizon

Climbing a ladder towards the sky so that someday I may

Reach those fabulous castles I have built from clouds,

As far in the distance as I can see,

Is this miraculous land of nobody, where

I can hear my tears gently splashing against the tide..

Hi Claudia,

What beauty and joy you give to others with your poetry and artwork.

You did paint that picture, right?

I like it the best of all your artwork.

Regards,

Thank you, Christina, yes I did paint that picture.  Some of it is cropped out because my scanner only scans at 8"x10" and the picture is 11x14.  I am glad you enjoyed it anyways.

Have a good day,

Claudia
