well i got denied for my SSI that sucks

but my mom said everyone gets denied the first time

my doctor said i cant work but they say i can idk

also i thought i was getting my tax returns today

nope not until the 13th i guess sooooo here i am

bored nothing to do no where to go no money in my

pocket. well i forgot to take my meds this morning oops

sorry i will remember tomorrow my best friend is getting off

work and i know he will be tired so no one to hang out with

but i will still try to call him

all week i sit in the house nothing to do then on the weekend

i do the same thing God im so bored i need something to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi alisza,

You might want to join a clubhouse or do volunteer work during the day.

As for SSI, appeal and ask for a re-hearing. Get an attorney if you need someone to argue your case. It is true, they deny everyone on the first try. It wasn't like that in the 1980s when I got SSI, and now it is.

thank you yeah i am going to appeal it because my doctor says i cant work right now maybe not for another 6 to 12 months so i need to let them know and then i pray they will accept me

I'm sorry the SSI fell through. It is difficult enough to have sz, then compounded by having no money. I went through a period like that where money was really tight. Have you applied for SSDI as well as SSI? I am not sure but your doctor may have to say you can't work for at least a year before you can get approved. I was approved for SSDI 4 months after I applied, fortunately. And I am getting a disability pension from a job I had years ago. Now, the money is there, enough for me to live independently. And that is what I am attempting to do now.

Why don't you go volenteer at shelter, nursing home, it's not work but it gives you something to do besides stay in the house. what do you like to do? It will also give you a sence helping others...it always helps so you don't think about your problems for a while. As for ssi, they can deny you up to 3 times and the process generally takes 2 years before you start receiving funds.( governments way of saying..if your really sick then you have to wait...if you don't wait then I guess your not really sick...) I hate that.

By the way...read another post of yours...the bath/it's your time one.....take showers from now on... Stay possitive...

thank you so much for caring i am doing a lot better now i have stopped my meds only because i feel i dont have a problem and i have been doing good without them my counsler wants me to go to groups and i will start checking them out tomorrow(monday)but in the mean time volunter work sounds good also thanks
