I've been married to a man with mental illness for the past 7 &1/2 years.  He was diagnosed bi-polar,then paranoid schizophrenic.  Due to a broad spectrum of abuse, my children and I have left and reunited with him over and over.  Just when I think he's under control and we can live together, he does something else criminal or dangerous.  I would like to find other people in my situation.  I love him so much, this illness has transformed him into a monster, though.  I will never be able to trust him to be safe around and my heart is broken.  I'm in my third trimester of my third pregnancy.  I wonder what genetic impact his condition will have on my children.  I've had to leave my second apartment because of his behavior and my kids are working on their third school this year. Anyone out there share some of my circumstances? I'm a very positive , upbeat person, and I don't want to have any self-pittying exchanges. However, I feel so alone and am dealing with so much anger from family and friends, it would be nice to know I'm not the only one who has forgiven and trusted a severely mentally ill person.
