Hi Schizophrenia Connection, how are you all ? I've had a few ups and downs for the last little while but I'm doing alright. My visual hallucinations got suddenly very bad and I needed to find help. Luckily, my Case Manager was just a phone-call away and she came over. It seemed that the paranoia and so on that accompanies that sort of thing had returned with avengence such as I had not felt for quite a few years. Anyway, I got to the hospital and they just gave me 2 lorazipam and sent me home feeling stoned and scared.
I saw my doctor she simply increased my zyprexa and within a week it all went away and I was back to normal. I was lucky. The bad symptoms only lasted a few days.
My experience illustrates what a relapse can do to an active lifestyle if you're not prepared for it. It's essential to have and maintain a support structure of friends, family members, and health professionals to deal with "worse possible scenario" instances.
Take care y'all,
Don

Hi Don,
I'm glad you've gotten help that worked.
Thank you for sharing your experiences as it will undoubtedly prove helpful to other community members who have a similar dilemma.
I would urge anyone to do what you did and be proactive and seek help right away at the beginning of a relapse.
Enjoy your week.
Regards,
Christina
