Well, the piano playing at the old folks home didn't work out. They did a police record check and discovered that I had been convicted of possession of marijuana 32 years ago. It was a long time ago and I've started the "pardon" process in this country which will take about 6 months to go through. Then I can re-apply as a volunteer. In fact they said they'd happy to have me. So I've got 6 months of doing absolutely nothing. Maybe I'll make a point to write more on this site. lol !
I think about my Mom and Dad every day. Mom phones like clockwork around 6 p.m. each evening. They're a very brave couple. With all the challenges they face daily they make my living with SZ lame by comparison. I say to people sometimes, " Sure SZ is tough but you've still got legs ! " Somehow that's not funny. I guess it's not intended to be.
Speaking of health, there is a study somewhere that shows that people with SZ tend to lag behind the rest of the population in overall physical health. Why is it that we neglect our bodies ? Maybe we're too focused on the mind. That's an obvious reason. 70% more smokers maybe ? We all need to foster a good relationship with our ordinary doctor as well as our psych. doc. That's just a common sense bit of advice.
Here's to a healthy mind, body and spirit !
Don Fraser

Hi Don,
Yes: a healthy mind body and spirit is everything!
I'm not sure about these odds but a psychic told me I would live to be quite old while I'm here.
Now I must return to the gym and I will most likely start going back when I'm on vacation in early August.
It's too hot to walk in this heat. I'm on Geodon so can't be in direct sunlight or heat.
I doubt you have that problem in Canada. Or do you?
Have a good night.
Regards,
Christina
Hi Christina,
I wasn't aware that people taking Geodon shouldn't be in direct sunlight or heat. Does that mean I'm hurting myself by working out everyday - I sweat an awful lot, more than others that I observe. I'm attending a beach party on the 31st, will it be bad for me to hang out in the sunlight?
Thanks,
Rene
