The Future Looks Good (I hope)

By Don Fraser Tuesday, August 02, 2011

Well, I haven't written for a long while, so tonight when I answered a meds question, I thought I'd better put pen to paper.

I'm starting a new job rehab program this week and my case manager seems to think I'll do well.        I hope so.       It would be nice to work again, as my part-time janitorial work was 3 years ago and I haven't worked since due to back trouble.       Anyway, this rehab program apparently knows all about your problems and the employer accommodates the job to them.      Interesting idea.

A break to take meds and have a smoke!

My mother had her 80th birthday last weekend.  Amazing woman.    So much energy for her years.     I hope I live that long.

I once heard a song that went "with a gratitude attitude all day long".   That's all I remember of it.     And when the time comes, and when I feel that in spite of the busy day, the friends, the family, I'm still all alone with my illness, I just remember that song and I start to feel good.

Peace,

Don Fraser

Hello Don,

It's good to hear from you again as it's always good to hear from you.

Good luck with the new job.  I know a guy who would rather have a job because he feels better when he's working.  It gives you something positive to do with your time.

Your mother is an amazing woman of course.  I would love to live to be 80 or thereabouts.  My father's mother my grandma lived to be 91 so I hope this long life is passed down to me too.

Your new job spounds wonderful.  Keep us posted as to how it's going.

Have a good day.

Cheers,

Christina

After reading your blog, I believe there is still a chance.  While my friend like my own sister has her schizophrenia in 1995, I was really upset.  Nothing I can do to help her even I was studied clinical psychology.  It is just helpless.  We had lost contact for over ten years.  Finally we reunited this year and I hope there is something I can do for her this time.  Please welcome to share your thoughts with me.
