It's been a trying month since I wrote.          I found out I had siatica in my spine so that stopped my janitorial work for now.       It's very painful and all they can give you for it is pain-killers.   Unfortunatly, the pain -kller I was taking had codeine in it and the codeine made me psycotic.

Needless to say , that's the one thing someone recovering from SZa does not want. So I got the "fuill meal deal" - intense paranoia, visual hallucinations, delusions of this and that until I said that's it, no more pain- killers.        And you know what the funny thing is, two days later I feel no pain and I'm back to normal.        Next time I'll ask my pdoc about other drugs before takng them.

On the brighter side of things it's been a bautiful May and June here on Vancouver Island.

The weather has been swealtering hot and record breaking highs are all over the Island and other parts of the Province of BC

I have friends  to share my life with, some need me more than others.   Several of them are so destitute that they occassionally sleep on my couch or come to my place for a hot shower and some food.       It's a bit trying as they do have interpersonal issues as well as mental health and addiction issues.      I stay close to my Case Manager at Mental Health if I have any problems.        It's hard to see people who have so very little in life.   I guess we all give what we can, in our own way.

Happy Trails
