To Mr. Schuster the attorney:

My 26 year old sz son has recently come into a fairly sizable inheritence. I am worried of his being taken advantage of (he is on bi-weekly court ordered injections of Resperdal but is still delusianal to a certain point).

Can he enter a legal contract, be sued, etc.

He has been hospitalized several times this year for dangerous behaviour.

Is there something i can legally do to protect his interests?

Hello abcd,

I'm not sure who Mr. Schuster is that you're referring to, so I'm going to suggest that if he doesn't answer your question, you could contact NAMI-the National Alliance on Mental Illness at (800) 950-NAMI (6264) to find the name and number of the local affiliate in your area.  The local affiliate may be able to put you in touch with an attorney who can advise you on this matter.  If you live in the tri-state New York City area, e-mail me privately here and I will see about getting the name of an attorney.

Regards,

Christina
