Topics:unable to afford medication

My sister is a paranoid schizophrenic. Her husband was injured at work and lost his job. They are living on an income of about $800.00 a month.  My sister has been without her medication for 2 months because they can not afford to pay for it.  Is there any programs that will help pay for her medication?

Pfizer offers free medications for low income households through a doctors office. You can go to their web site to print out an application or call:

1-866-776-7700.

These are the best sites on the web. You can always access them at your local library if you don't have home internet access.

Dear Sister: Glad you are concerned, our son is paranoid schizophrenic, and at times did not have meds, went to his psychiatrist and he was very helpful, they usually keep samples for such cases. OR, call your Nami organization, they are very helpful in finding you help.  Help is out there.  P Hunter
