Q: Working without losing any benefits

I am curious if anyone is aware of how much money a person receiving SSDI benefits can earn without losing any of their benefits? I currently receive disability payments and have Medicare A and B. I also have my Medicare premiums paid for by the government and I have a card from Ky that pays for my doctors bills and hospitalizations. I also have Medicare Part D coverage that covers most but not all of my medicine bills.I pay $3.50 a month for premium for my Medicare Part D plan and then I pay $5.35 for my Seroquel ans $2.35 for my thyroid medicine.

Hi Janet,

There's a maximum earned income that enables you to still collect SSD or SSI, the best thing to do is check the government's social security web site, www.ssa.gov .  It has tons of information about collecting benefits while working at a job.

Cheers,

Chris

depends on how much you earn. you earn over a certain amount, then they start cutting you, i think.
