I am currently taking 600 milligrams of Seroquel at bedtime and was wondering what if any are the benefits of Seroquel X R over the regular Seroquel!

Hi Janet,

I've spoken with my local, reputable pharmacist.

As you may have guessed, XR simply means extended release.

So you take one pill and it lasts all day.

The pharmacist suggested the Seroquel XR isn't any better necessarily.

He told me the XR-type drugs have more side effects.
