sister in her late 30s developed schizophrenia all of the sudden. why?

my sisters dad had sz and she started to display symptoms of this recently but she was 38 or 39 at the time. any body knows why she would get it in that age group? any info on sz coming out in that age would be great. oh and she was perfectly normal till this.
